Results Reporting
Printed Reports
Printed reports are delivered directly to the referring laboratory or physician's office by first class mail or by courier. For faster service, we can fax reports and send a hard copy as a permanent record. Duplicate reports are available upon request. In some instances, abnormal test results are phoned directly to the referring physician. Test results may be obtained by phone; however, full interpretation of the actual result may not be available until the patient's laboratory report is generated.
Physician or Laboratory Consultation
The medical and laboratory staff at FBR are available during business hours to discuss results or clinical laboratory questions. When calling, please have the patient's report available (if applicable).
Patient Confidentiality
Test results are not released directly to patients unless a completed release form has been received and approved by the Laboratory Director, or designee. At the request of the patient's physician, FBR clinical or laboratory staff may agree to discuss results directly with a patient if, in the opinion of the patient's physician and FBR, such a discussion is in the best interest of patient management.
