Relevance:

CCP has proven to be superior to either anti-keratin antibody or rheumatoid factor (RF) testing in differentiating rheumatoid arthritis (RA) from other autoimmune diseases.

Notes:

The presence of CCP antibody occurs independently of elevated RF levels in patients with RA.
