Anti-GBM testing is useful in diagnosing Goodpasture’s Syndrome and other immune-mediated causes of rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis (RPGN). In some patients with RPGN, antibodies to GBM and anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) may coexist.
